SMU Downs Tulane in Friday Evening Action

NEW ORLEANS — The Tulane University volleyball team (8-20) dropped to 3-14 in American Athletic Conference play after a 3-0 loss (20-25, 9-25, 17-25) inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
The Mustangs improved to 21-8 overall and 14-3 in conference.
The Green Wave offense hit .074 in the match while the Mustangs countered with a .274 attack percentage. Outside hitter Mackenzie Martin led the Wave with 9 kills, 12 digs,
hitting .189 overall.
Middle Blocker Kayla Kaiser also got in her fair share of kills with five and a .333 hitting percentage.

Libero Jillian Dits carried the defensive duties with 24 digs. Freshman setter Katherine Crosley moved the ball well, tallying 23 assists, two kills, and four digs.

The Green Wave dropped the match posting 28 kills, 24 assists, 59 digs, three blocks, and a 25% passing rate.
Tulane will return to the court on Sunday to face Memphis. The match is set for 1 p.m. central time.
