Swim and Dive Drops Battle to Houston

HOUSTON – The Tulane Swimming & Diving program fell to Houston, 86-118 in its fourth dual meet of the season. The Green Wave posted four first-place finishes on Saturday at the CRWC Natatorium.

The Wave came out swinging grabbing first-place finishes in three of the first five races. Sam Krew commanded the freestyle with her 52.71 time in the 100 and her 1:52.52 time in the 200 bringing home two first-place finishes.

Elena Gingras followed directly behind with a 5:03.30. in the 500 freestyle to grab the third first-place finish of the day.

Standout Danielle Titus is back where she belongs at the top of the 100-backstroke leader board with her time of 56.89.

Tulane didn't disappoint in the relays. The team of Bella Lojewski, Eleanor McMeen, Riley Hendrix, and Grace Dale had a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:36.99.

In the 400-freestyle relay, the team of Titus, Autumn Keats-O'Connor, Lojewski, and Krew finished with a third-place mark of 3:54.11.
UP NEXT
The Green Wave will travel back to Houston to compete in the Phill Hansel Invitational on Nov. 17-19 at the CRWC Natatorium.
