Tulane Finishes with Five Wins on Final Day of CCB Invitational
Nov 6, 2022 | Men's Tennis
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Tulane University Men's Tennis picked up four more victories on the final day of the CCB Invitational on Sunday to close out its final fall tournament. The four Sunday wins pushed the Green Wave's total to nine in the tournament at The Country Club of Birmingham.
Benji Jacobson and Sam Scherer led the way for Tulane on the final day of singles competition each earning a victory. Scherer finished the tournament with three total singles wins while Jacobson and Charlie Barry each picked up two total victories in singles play.
Double action was delayed until Sunday due to weather, but that did not keep the Green Wave from being ready to compete. The duo of Barry and Luka Petrovic paced the day for Tulane by winning their first two matches before falling in the finals of their draw.
With the fall campaign complete, Tulane will look to build from its fall performances as it begins preparation for spring 2023 season.
