
Men's Basketball Closes Out Non-Conference Play with 84-63 Win Over Mississippi Valley State

NEW ORLEANS – Jalen Cook finishes just shy of a career high in scoring 27 points in Tulane's dominant win over Mississippi Valley State.

The Green Wave will finish non-conference play with a 7-4 record, besting their non-conference record of 3-6 in the 2021 season.

Jaylen Forbes was the only player to finish in the double digits for Tulane, dropping 19 on the night. The junior also added six steals and four rebounds to his stat line.

Freshman Percy Daniels came in off the bench and went 3-3 to record a career high of six points, while also grabbing a career high four rebounds.

Tulane won the turnover battle for the 10th time this season, totaling just nine to Mississippi Valley State's 20.

The Green wave's largest lead of the tonight came four minutes into the second half up 31 at 58-27. With the Tulane starters on the bench, Mississippi Valley State was able to get within 21, ending the game at 84-63.
