
Green Wave Ready for Road Clash at Troy Wednesday

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University Women's Basketball will aim to return to the win column as it travels to face the Troy Trojans on Wednesday. Tipoff between the Green Wave and the Trojans is set for 6 p.m. from Trojan Arena in Troy, Alabama.

This marks the sixth all-time meeting between Tulane and Troy with the Wave holding a perfect 5-0 record against the Trojans. The last time the Green Wave faced Troy, Tulane won 91-84 in New Orleans on December 8, 2021. In Tulane's only previous trip to Troy, the Wave defeated the Trojans 82-75 on November 29, 1994.

In her 29th year at the helm of the Green Wave, head coach Lisa Stockton is undefeated with a 4-0 record against the Trojans.

In its last time out, Tulane lost to in-state rival 11th-ranked LSU 72-85 at home on Sunday. Dynah Jones led all scorers in the contest matching her career-high with 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the floor and 4-of-7 from downtown. Marta Galic also finished with more than 20 points as she tallied 21 with four made three-pointers and seven rebounds.

Three players are averaging double figures in scoring for the Green Wave this season. Galic leads the team with 14.9 points per contest. Jones follows with 13.6 points per game while Kyren Whittington posts 11.1 points per game.

Tulane leads the American Athletic Conference this season in assists per game (17.8) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.26). The Green Wave ranks 24th nationally in assists and 27th in assist-to-turnover ratio.

Troy enters the matchup with an 3-4 record following a 70-87 loss at Arkansas in its last game on Thursday, Dec. 1. The Trojans are averaging 74.4 points per game this season but allowing their opponents to score 80.1 points per contest. Three players average double figures in scoring: Makayia Hallmon (13.3), Tai'Sheka Porchia (10.6), and Jada Walton (10.4). Troy was picked to win the Sun Belt in the league's preseason poll.

Following the matchup with the Trojans, Tulane will return to Uptown to face Southern on Sunday. Tipoff between the Green Wave and the Jaguars is set for 2 p.m. inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
