Track and Field Hit the Road for Pair of Out-of-State Events
NEW ORLEANS — The Tulane University track and field team will compete in two competitions this weekend, the Howie Ryan Invitational at the University of Houston, and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University.
HOWIE RYAN INVITATIONAL
The Howie Ryan Invitational will take place on Friday at the Yeoman Fieldhouse in the University of Houston Athletics/Alumni Center.
The field events start at 11:00 a.m. CT with the weight throw. The shot put will immediately follow where Tulane's own Maren Butler, Melisa Toilolo, Margot Temines, and Norah Bice will compete.
The running events start at 12:30 p.m. CT with the 60m hurdles. Tulane's Aldriana Dupree will compete in the event. Nastja Modic, Kristina Leggas, Kate Sander, and Rebecca Smith will compete in the pole vault at 12:00 p.m. CT. Leggas and Sander are coming off a joint third-place finish at the Bayou Bengal meet at LSU last weekend.

DAVID HEMERY VALENTINE INVITATIONAL
The Invitational is a two-day event that starts on Friday at 9:30 a.m. CT in the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
Tulane has two athletes competing in the mile run. Mackenzie Callahan and Therese Olshanski will take part in the event that starts at 4:00 p.m. CT. Callahan is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Charlie Thomas Invitational, where she posted a time of 4:49.77.
