
Beach Volleyball Hosts Tulane Classic

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane beach volleyball (6-2) returns home this weekend to host the Tulane Classic at the Whitesands Volleyball Courts in New Orleans.
The Olive and Blue will face the University of Alabama-Birmingham at 8:30 a.m. and Texas A&M Corpus Christi at 1 p.m. on Friday, before matching up against Houston Baptist at 8:30 a.m., Nicholls at 1:00 p.m. and the University of New Orleans at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.

The Green Wave enter the weekend ranked No.19 by the CBVB.
Tulane's top pair of Kendall Peters and Maddie Speicher holds a 7-1 record and are currently ranked as third in the nation by CBVB.
Tulane has met UAB 21 times and holds a 16-5 series lead. Their last meeting was Apr. 2, 2021 when Tulane took the match 3-2 in Hattiesburg, Miss.
In what will be their fourth-ever meeting, Tulane will match up with the 6-3 Islanders of Corpus Christi. The Wave holds a 3-1 record against the Islanders.
This will be Tulane's 12th matchup against Houston Baptist, holding an 11-0 all-time record.
The Green Wave will also have its second meeting of the year with Nicholls, whom they faced at the Green Wave Invitational on Feb. 26, when they took the matchup 5-0.

Tulane's final matchup will be against intercity rival UNO. The teams have met 12 times with Tulane taking each matchup. In their history, Tulane has never dropped more than one match versus UNO.
