
Tulane Women’s Tennis Hosts North Texas for Final Home Match of the Season Saturday

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's tennis will look to win its third consecutive match as it hosts North Texas on Saturday afternoon. The match between the Green Wave and the Mean Green is set for 1 p.m. at City Park Tennis Center.
Tulane will enter the matchup with a 9-6 record on the season and an 8-2 mark in home matches. Fans can follow along with live scoring for the match by clicking HERE.
The Wave and North Texas have only met twice in program history with the all-time series tied 1-1. The Green Wave won the latest match 4-1 on the road in Denton, Texas, on March 12, 2021. The Mean Green took the first meeting in the series 5-2 back on January 18, 2009, in New Orleans.
The Green Wave is led in doubles action by the pairing of Lahari Yelamanchili and Charlotte Russell. The duo holds a 11-2 record on the season including 8-2 in their last 10 matches. In singles play, Tulane is paced by Yelamanchili with an 9-1 record followed by Russell at 8-3 on the year. Cora Barber is also off to a strong start on the singles courts as she is a perfect 4-0 to start the year.
After its match with the Mean Green, the Green Wave will travel to Tallahassee, Florida, to face Florida State on Saturday, April 2. The match between Tulane and the Seminoles is set for 11 a.m. CT.
