Track & Field Excels in Pair of Outdoor Weekend Meets

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University outdoor track & field team competed in the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, TX and the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, TX this past weekend.
BOBCAT INVITATIONAL
The Bobcat Invitational was hosted by Texas State University inside the Texas State Track and Field Complex.
The Green Wave collected three podiums and ten top 15 finishes.
Victoria Robinson won the 800m dash and Janae Dean finished fourth for the Green Wave.
Tulane's 4x400m relay team made up of Dean, Victoria Robinson, Hunter Robinson, and Oneke Gwan finished third with a 3:53.94.
Graduate student Kara Steele finished second in the triple jump with a 12.62m jump.
Senior Evans Kipchumba posted a 15:10.87 in the in the 5000m run, good enough for a seventh-place finish.
Senior Aldriana Dupree finished 11th in the 100m dash with a time of 11.99 seconds.

CLYDE LITTLEFIELD TEXAS RELAYS
The 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays were hosted by University of Texas at Austin in the Mike A. Myers Stadium & Soccer Field.
Junior Margot Temines placed 14th in the heptathlon with a total of 5172 points. Temines finished third in the shot put, ninth in the 200m dash, and tenth in the high jump.
Victoria Robinson was tenth in the 800m run with a 2:11.71.
Graduate student Therese Olshanski ran a 4:35.25 in the 1500m and finished sixth.
Arturs Lapins, a freshman from Latvia, finished 11th in the 300m steeplechase with a 9:13.53.
