Volleyball Drops Three-Set Match to Oklahoma

SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA — The Tulane University volleyball team (4-4) dropped a three-set match to Oklahoma (12-25, 12-25, 19-25) on day two of the Santa Clara Invitational.
The Green Wave offense hit .042 in the match, while the Sooners countered with a .367 clip. Graduate student Kayla Kaiser led the Wave with seven kills, hitting .211 overall. The middle blocker also landed a block, totaling 8.5 points.
Outside hitter Mackenzie Martin was right behind her with six points and a .125 hitting percentage. Martin also claimed seven digs in the match.
Libero Jillian Dits controlled the defensive duties with a combined eight digs, three receptions and an assist. Senior setter Kate Van Houten moved the ball well, tallying 16 assists and seven digs.
The Green Wave posted 23 kills, 22 assists, three aces, 36 digs, two blocks and a 27.3% passing rate.
