
Men’s Tennis Adds 10 Wins to Close the Weekend

DESTIN, Fla. – Tulane Men's Tennis put together its strongest performance of the weekend at both the Battle at the Beach in Destin, Florida, and the Southern Miss Invitational in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on Sunday. The Green Wave tallied 10 total wins on the day to push its weekend total to 18 across the two events.
In the Sunshine State, the Wave picked up three victories. Luc Hoeijmans and Rafael de Alba paired up to secure the first win in doubles play against Middle Tennessee. Alex Bancila joined the winning ways for Tulane along with de Alba in singles each earning wins against Georgia State.
Tulane started strong on the final day of the Southern Miss Invitational as the duos of Luka Petrovic and Sam Scherer and Charlie Barry and William Kesterson both won their doubles matches against UNO on Saturday. The Green Wave carried that momentum into singles play to pick up five more victories. Barry led the Wave in singles action going 2-0 against opponents from UNO and South Alabama.
Up next, Tulane will travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to compete in the Bama Invitational next weekend, September 30-October 2.
