Women's Tennis Finishes Day One in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, AL - Women's tennis finished up the first day of play on Friday at the Roberta Allison Fall Classic as lone freshman Delanie Tribby secured her first collegiate win.
After struggling in the doubles round in the morning, the Wave bounced back during the singles rounds, gaining three wins in round one and four in round two. Among the victories was Delanie Tribby, who defeated Emma Pedretti of Chatanooga 6-4, 6-4 in round one to secure her first collegiate win. Sean Mullen won both of her singles matches, defeating Ansley Cheshire of Alabama 6-3, 7-5 in round one and Leena Metwally of Troy 6-4, 6-2 in the second round.
The Wave will continue play in the tournament on Saturday.
