Oct 28, 2023 | Women's Tennis
TUSCALOOSA, AL - Women's tennis finished out the final day at the Roberta Allison Fall Classic strongly, winning all but one doubles match and splitting the singles results.
The day started powerfully, as the Wave duos of Lahari Yelamanchili/Kristen Borland, Brooke Theis/Sean Mullen and Cora Barber/Lulu Zhu all won their second round doubles matches. Theis/Mullen and Yelamanchili/Borland would go on to win the final round of doubles to take the Olive and Blue to a 4-5 doubles record on the day.
In singles, freshman Delanie Tribby gained her second win of the tournament after winning her first collegiate match on day one. Zhu and Yelamanchili also won their final singles matches, with Zhu getting the 6-4, 6-2 advantage and Yelamanchili fighting hard to force the match to three sets and winning the tie-breaker set 10-3. Mullen would receive the last win of the day for Tulane, winning all of her matches with the exception of one.
Tulane will return home for the week before heading up north for the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational next weekend.
