Golf Signs Three to 2024-25 Roster

New Orleans, La. - Tulane Women's Golf has signed three players to their 2024-25 season roster. The signees include incoming freshmen Cristina Albertazzi and Francesca Pompa, and graduate transfer from Georgetown, Gabriella Gilrowski.
Cristina Albertazzi hails from Torino, Italy, but has spent the past two years in Malaga, Spain attending the Atlas American School of Malaga. Albertazzi has 15 top ten finishes under her belt, including two first place finishes at the Andalucia Championship Under 16, where she went three under in three days, and the Toro Tour Professional Championship, where she carded a plus two over three days. The incoming freshman also recorded a second place finish at the Andalucia Absolut Championship, going one under in three days.Â
Francesca Pompa comes to Uptown from Varese, Italy, where she attended the Istituto Superiore Scolastico and was a part of a two-time national championship golf team. Pompa has accumulated 13 top ten finishes, including claiming four wins in the World Amateur Ranking Events at the 2023 Citta di Piacenza Trophy, 2022 Giuseppe Silva Trophy, 2021 Italian Girls U18 National Championship and 2021 Italian Team Championship Qualifying.Â
Gabrielle Gilrowski is a graduate transfer who spent her undergraduate career at Georgetown University. While at Georgetown, Gilrowski accumulated five top ten finishes and claimed one win at the Pirate Collegiate Classic in 2022. During the 2023 season, the Westfield, Indiana native was named to the all-BIG EAST team after finishing in second at the 2023 BIG EAST Championships to help the Hoyas to second place overall for the second year in a row. Prior to Georgetown, Gilkrowski played her final two years at Montverde Academy. In 2019, she won the Women's Western Junior Championship and also qualified for the USGA Girls' Junior Championship and Girls Junior PGA Championship, where she finished 32nd.

"We have a dynamic group joining us from all over the world bringing international experience, leadership, and passion to Green Wave golf.
