Green Wave Set for Friday Afternoon Matchup with LSU

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane women's tennis team is back in action Friday at 2 p.m. when LSU, ranked 28th nationally this week, comes to the City Park Tennis Center.

The Green Wave enters the match at 3-4 overall, while the Tigers are 5-1.

Tulane is looking to get back in the win column, having lost to South Alabama (4-3) and Alabama (5-2) in its last two outings. The Olive and Blue has victories over Southern (7-0), ULM (6-1) and New Orleans (5-2) so far this season, all of which have come at City Park.

LSU bounced back from its only defeat (4-3 to #21 UCF) to win 6-1 at TCU on Sunday. The Tigers also have two wins over ULM (4-0), Harvard (5-2) and Penn State (5-2) in 2023. Kylie Collins comes into Friday's match ranked 11th in the country in singles, while Anastasiya Komar is 44th. In doubles, Komar and Nikita Vishwase are 17th and Collins and Komar are 48th. Safiya Carrington and Komar also check in at 56th.
