
Gonzaga, #62 Wichita State Come to NOLA for Weekend Matches

NEW ORLEANS – The Gonzaga and Wichita State women's tennis teams are in town to face Tulane for Saturday and Sunday matches, respectively, at City Park Tennis Center this weekend.

The Gonzaga match will begin at 11: 45 a.m. and will start with singles. The Wichita State tilt is scheduled for a noon start.

The Green Wave (5-7) split its Texas trip against ranked competition last week. The Olive and Blue took down #69 North Texas 4-0 on Friday, before falling by that same score at #59 SMU on Sunday.

Gonzaga (8-6) is coming off a road split as well, having defeated Southeastern Louisiana 5-0 on Tuesday, but the team then dropped a narrow 4-3 decision at Louisiana Wednesday.

The 62nd-ranked Shockers (7-7) suffered a 4-3 loss at #59 USF on Thursday after falling 6-1 at FAU on Tuesday. The team's match against the Green Wave will be its sixth consecutive contest away from home.
