Zags Too Much for Tulane on Saturday

NEW ORLEANS – Gonzaga's women's tennis team came to City Park Tennis Center on Saturday and emerged with a 4-2 win over the host Tulane Green Wave.

The Zags improved to 9-6 overall, while the Olive and Blue sank to 5-8.

Doubles was not required as both coaches agreed, beforehand, to start with singles and play until one side clinched the overall win with four team points.

The Green Wave got wins at No. 3 singles by Kristen Borland (6-3, 6-2) and at No. 5 via Charlotte Russell (6-2, 5-7, 6-3).
