Tulane Falls to UAB on Second Day of March to May
Mar 18, 2023 | Women's Beach Volleyball
GULF SHORES, Ala. – The comeback bid for Tulane University Beach Volleyball came up short on Saturday as it dropped its third match of the weekend to UAB 3-2 at the March to May. After falling behind, the Green Wave made a push from the top three courts but was unable to overcome the early deficit.
The Blazers of UAB jumped out to an early lead winning in positions four and five in straight sets. Tulane battled by taking the first set on courts one and three with Mollie Ebertin and Kendall Peters winning 21-12 and Emily Heintzelman with Samantha Mehlman winning 21-17. However, UAB managed to clinch the dual victory with a win in straight sets from position two before the pairs of Ebertin and Peters and Heintzelman and Mehlman were able to pick up wins for the Green Wave.
Tulane will look to get back in the win column on the final day of the March to May Sunday. The Wave will face Mercer and No. 10 Georgia State to wrap up the weekend.
