
Green Wave Hosts Southern Miss for Senior Day Doubleheader

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University Beach Volleyball (20-8) will welcome Southern Miss for a Senior Day doubleheader on Saturday. The 17th-ranked Green Wave will play two dual matches against the Golden Eagles to wrap up the regular season in the NOLA Classic.

Tulane will honor its five seniors before the first match against Southern Miss Saturday morning. Seniors Ashton Mares, Kendall Peters, and Samantha Mehlman along with graduate students Abby Jackson and Mollie Ebertin will be recognized beginning at 10:05 a.m. on court one.

The first dual between Tulane and Southern Miss is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. with the second dual of the doubleheader to follow at White Sands Volleyball Courts.

The Green Wave is 12-0 all-time against Southern Miss including a 3-2 victory last weekend over the Golden Eagles. Tulane holds a 2-0 record in home matches against Southern Miss with both victories coming last season on Senior Day. The Wave won those two Senior Day duals last season 4-1 and 5-0.

Tulane is coming off a perfect 4-0 weekend at the Blazer Beach Bash in Birmingham, Alabama. The Wave earned two victories over Central Arkansas and defeated Southern Miss and UAB once each.

Following NOLA Classic, the Green Wave will head to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for the Conference USA Beach Volleyball Championship. The tournament will be hosted at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park from April 27-29.
