Bradley Makuvire Places 31st in the 10,000m at NCAA East Regional

Jacksonville, Fla. – Bradley Makuvire finished 31st in the 10,000m at the NCAA East Regional for Tulane's track and field program on Wednesday in Jacksonville, Fla. at Hodges Stadium on the campus of North Florida.
Makuvire finished 31st overall in the competition with his run of 30:21.72. The top-12 finishers in the event qualified for the finals to be competed at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships from June 7-10. Makuvire came into the competition ranked No. 15 in the East Region in the event from his school record run of 28:50.61 achieved at the Mt SAC Relays on April 13. Additionally, he is No. 45 in the East Region in the 5,000m with his 13:57.67 run achieved at the Raleigh Relays on March 23. The semifinals of the 5,000m are set to be competed on Friday at 7:10 p.m. CDT on Friday.
Next, Maren Butler competes in the first round of the shot put at 5 p.m. CDT on Thursday. She is placed No. 35 in the East Region in the shot put from her 15.65m throw achieved at the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Track and Field Championships on May 13. The throw also ranks her second all-time at Tulane in the event.
