Green Wave’s 2023-24 Swimming and Diving Schedule Released

NEW ORLEANS – The Green Wave announced its 2023-24 Swimming and Diving schedule on Friday.
The team kicks off its season on October 6th, traveling to Jacksonville, Florida to compete against the University of North Florida and University of Arkansas at Little Rock. On the 27th, the Wave heads to Pensacola to compete against University of West Florida.
November 4th marks the day for Tulane's inaugural home meet in its brand new Reily Student Center facility when the Wave competes against University of Houston. This meet will highlight seniors Jennifer Gougelmann, Riley Hendrix, Katie Lipsey and Paige McKenzie, along with graduate student Summer Miln. From November 16th through the 18th, the ladies will compete in the Magnus Cup Invitational in Cleveland, Ohio against D1 teams Akron, Bowling Green, Cleveland State, Canisius, Florida Gulf Coast, Niagara and New Orleans neighbors Xavier.
November 29th through December 2nd is when the qualifying swimmers from the team travel to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the US Open. Two weeks later on the 17th, qualifying members go to compete in the Open Water Champs in Miami.
The new year opens with the team going to Puerto Rico. The Wave travels to San Juan to compete in La XVIII Copa Coqui 2024. Later in the month, the yearly SMU/UNT/Rice Quad meet will be from January 19-20th in Dallas.
"We are excited to see our divers back on the boards this season," said head coach Amanda Caldwell. "Our schedule is pretty balanced with competitions to build our confidence and will challenge our women to be better prepared for the end of the season."
The Wave goes up against Vanderbilt on February 3rd in Nashville. The team then heads back to Dallas to compete in the American Athletic Conference Championships from the 22nd to the 25th to kickoff its postseason.
