
Men’s Tennis Falls to No. 24 Baylor in Season Opener

The Green Wave men's tennis team traveled to Tucson, AZ to take on Baylor at the ITA Kickoff for their season opener. The Bears bested Tulane, 4-1.
Baylor defeated Tulane in doubles to claim the first point of the match. The court one pair that consisted of Alex Bancila and Luc Hoeijmans was bested by Tadeas Paroulek and Zsombor Velcz (6-3). Luka Petrovic and Billy Suarez defeated Martin Breysach and Os Brostrom Poulsen (6-2) on court two but Devin Badenhorst and Luc Koenig closed it out on court three against Benji Jacobson and Sam Scherer (6-2).
In singles, Sam Scherer was the sole player to give Tulane a point when he beat Marko Miladinovic 6-3, 6-4 on the sixth court.
The Green Wave will be back in action tomorrow morning when they take on the Miami Hurricanes at 11:00 AM CT.
Miami is 4-1 so far this season coming off of a 4-0 loss against Arizona.
