
Green Wave Set for SEISA Fall Championships

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane sailing will be in Austin, Texas, this weekend for the SEISA Fall Championships hosted by the University of Texas on October 26-27. The Green Wave will aim for its fifth consecutive sweep of the regatta as it hits the waters of Lake Travis Saturday.

The weekend will include competition for the SEISA Fall Open Championship and the SEISA Women's Fall Championship. The Wave swept both races last season also in hosted by Texas.

In the fall open championship, Tulane will compete against teams from Rice, Texas A&M, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, Texas A&M – Galveston, Kansas, and Texas. On the water
representing the Wave will be John Wood, Mary Carter, Jack Solmo, Caroline Caudron, Taylor Bartell, Oakley Cunningham, Ashley Hoguet, Lola Kohl, Parker Kumler, and Elizabeth Struve.

The fall open championship will be sailed in combined divisions with 10 races in each division scheduled. If at least six races have been completed by the end of the day Saturday, the regatta will be determined to be complete. Racing is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

On Sunday, the fall women's championship will include teams from Texas A&M, Kansas, and Texas along with the Wave. The event will be sailed in combined divisions with 10 races scheduled in each division. Competition is set to begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
