Tulane Visits Denver for Ron Moore Intercollegiate

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane golf will compete on the road this weekend as it plays in the Ron Moore Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Denver this weekend. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will take place at the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch from October 4-6.

The Ron Moore Intercollegiate will feature three, 18-hole rounds at the 6611-yard event. There will be a 9:30 a.m. CT waterfall start on Friday and Saturday and a 9:30 a.m. CT shotgun start on Sunday.

 In addition to the Green Wave, the 15-team field includes New Mexico, Colorado, UNLV, San Diego State, Minnesota, Hawaii, Xavier, Kansas State, Texas State, Middle Tennessee State, Wichita State, Colorado State, and Wyoming.

Representing Tulane in Denver this weekend will be Matilde Innocenti, Gabriella Gilrowski, Cristina Albertazzi, Francesca Pompa, and Sophia Yi-Ju Chen. They will be paired with Colorado State and Middle Tennessee State in the opening round teeing off on hole 10.

The Wave finished tied for the 11th as a team at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in 2023. Innocenti tied with Miriam Emmert for 27th overall as the top performers for Tulane at the event last fall.

In the Green Wave's last tournament, Innocentia and Gilrowski led the way finishing in the top 15 at the Schooner Fall Classic in Norman, Oklahoma. Tulane ended the event tied for ninth overall as a team.
