Tulane Moves into Tie for Seventh at Ron Moore Intercollegiate

DENVER, Colo. – Following the second round of the Ron Moore Intercollegiate tournament Tulane golf dropped one spot in the standing to sit in a tie for seventh with Colorado and Xavier in the field of 15. The Green Wave shot a 295 (+7) as a team on Saturday.

Francesca Pompa led the Wave on the course in the second round with her second consecutive day with an even 72 on her card. Through two rounds she sits in a tie for 21st overall at 144 (E). Pompa tallied three birdies in the second round and finished at two under on the par 4s.

Next up on the leaderboard for Tulane were Matilde Innocenti and Cristina Albertazzi each with a round of 74 (+2) on Saturday. The duo holds a tie for 23rd overall at +1 (145) through two rounds.

Rounding out the group for the Wave were Gabriella Gilrowski and Sophia Yi-Ju Chen after the second round. Gilrowski carded a 75 (+3) on Saturday moving her into a tie for 28th among the 80 players in the field. Chen recorded a 79 (+7) in her second round as she now sits tied for 60th.

The final round of the Ron Moore Intercollegiate will start Sunday at 9:30 a.m. CT with a shotgun start.
