BATON ROUGE, LA – The Tulane men's tennis team is through its first two days of competition at the LSU Invitational and has piled up seven wins thus far in Baton Rouge.
On Friday, Luc Hoeijmans and Maxim Kalinin each registered singles victories. Hoeijmans downed San Diego's Adrien Berrut 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, while Kalinin snared a 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4) win over Columbia's Jayden Templeman.
On Saturday, Kalinin (4-6, 6-3, (11-9)) over Columbia's Andrew Kotzen), Petrovic (7-6 (7), 6-7 (3), 6-0 over Tennessee's James Newton) and Steven Rice (6-2, 6-2 over San Diego's Nikhil Niranjan) all picked up singles wins.
In doubles, Hoeijmans and Petrovic nipped Ian Cruz and Jose Garcia 7-6 (5), while Kalinin and Rice followed suit against San Diego's Neo Niedner and Niranjan by the same score.
