
Green Wave Takes Top Four Spots in Baldwin Wood Fleet Race

NEW ORLEANS – In the final home regatta of the fall Tulane sailing dominated the field in the Baldwin Wood Fleet Race claiming the top four spots in the standings and seven of the top 10 on Saturday. Ryan Ehnot and Parker Kumler secured first place overall in the field of 15 teams to deliver the third consecutive win for the Green Wave in the Baldwin Wood Fleet Race.

Ehnot and Kumler finished with 17 total points through 10 races to land on top of the leaderboard. The duo posted six first-place finishes out of the 10 races on Saturday.

The Wave was also represented by the next three teams in the standings to hold each of the top four spots in the regatta. Oakley Cunningham and Taylor Bartell set the tone for second place winning two races and finishing second in three more in the first eight rotations. Brady Starck paired with Bartell to finish the day as the trio finished second with 39 points.

In third place was Jack Solmo and Mary Carter with 44 total points. The pair landed in the top three in five of their 10 races including one win on Lake Pontchartrain.

Rounding out the top four were Bobby Rielly and Claire Lewis with 50 total points in 10 races. Rielly and Lewis also posted five top-three finishes.

The remainder of the field for Tulane included Lola Kohl and Caitlin Briggs in seventh with 66 points, Martha Hughes with Sabrina Anderson and Cate Anderson in ninth with 79 points, Ashley Hoguet and Caroline Caudron with 86 points in 10th, and Essie Clifton with Sloane Mullin in 11th with 94 points.

Up next, the Green Wave will be represented by Ava Anderson and Matheo Capsso in the ICSA Singlehanded National Championships. The duo will compete on Saturday and Sunday, November 9-10, in Tampa, Florida.
