
Swimming & Diving Continues to Excel on the Second Day of the Magnus Cup

Day 2 Results
CLEVELAND – The Tulane swimming and diving team continued to excel on the second day of the Magnus Cup on Friday at the Busbey Natatorium. The program totaled 10 top-three finishes, three event wins, 10 season bests, 11 lifetime bests, a pair of NIC automatics, five NIC Bonus cuts, three US Open qualifiers, a meet record, a pool record, a school record and an NCAA B cut. Tulane completed the second day in second place overall with 765 points.
Maya Wilson won the 200 free with a school, meet and pool record time of 1:46.74. Her time is also an NCAA B cut and an NIC automatic qualifier
Catherine Russo won the 100 butterfly with a 53.57. Her time was an NIC B cut and a season best.
The 800 free relay team of Rafaela Sumida, Wilson, Phoebe Johnson and Lise Coetzee won the event with a 7:17.88.
Paige McKenzie finished as the runner-up in the 1-meter dive with a season-best 245.35 points.
The 200 medley relay team of Andrea Zeebe, Paula Gaya Bisquerra, Russo and Wilson finished second with a 1:39.95. The time was also an NIC automatic.
Zeebe earned second individually in the 400 IM with a lifetime best of 4:17.86. Gwen Shahboz was third in the 400 IM with a lifetime best of 4:18.03.
Rafaela Sumida finished second in the 200 free with her lifetime best time of 1:48.34.
Gaya Bisquerra took third in the 100 breast with her lifetime best of 1:02.31.
