
No. 38 Swimming & Diving Has A Pair Finish Among Top-Five of the 500 Free B Finals On Thursday

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The No. 38 Tulane swimming and diving team had a pair of swimmers finish among the top five in the 500 free B finals on the team's first day at the US Open Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Greensboro Aquatics Center.
Lise Coetzee started the day and took 13th in the preliminaries of the 500 free with her 4:58.17. Varvara Gkiouzepa Petropoulou was 15th in the preliminaries of the 500 free with a 5:07.28.
Both improved their times in the finals as Coetzee swam a 4:54.89 to earn third in the B Finals. Petropoulou improved by swimming a career-best 4:56.42 in the finals to earn fifth in the B Finals.
Next, Tulane continues competing at the US Open Championships with Paula Gaya Bisquerra racing in the preliminaries of the 100 breast on Friday at 9:05 a.m. CT. The finals start at 5 p.m. CT
