NEW ORLEANS- The Green Wave tennis team (0-6) hosted nationally ranked Oklahoma State (10-2) on Wednesday afternoon. The Cowboys bested Tulane, 4-1.
Oklahoma State's nationally ranked doubles pair claimed the match quickly on court one. On court three, Sam Scherer and Luka Petrovic came back to take down their opponents (6-3) to leave all eyes on court two.
After a close set on court two, Oklahoma State was able to claim the doubles point after defeating Benji Jacobson and Billy Suarez in a tie breaker, 7-6 (2).
In singles, junior Luc Hoeijmans played a dominant game of court 5, sweeping his opponent, 6-4, 6-4.
The Green Wave was unable to get it done on the other courts and fell to the Cowboys, 4-1.
Tulane will look to bounce back in an action packed weekend. They will host a double header on Friday afternoon, taking on Ole Miss at 1:00 PM and Southern University following the completion of the Ole Miss match.
