
Green Wave Ready for Weekend Regattas

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University sailing team will be back on the road this weekend for regattas in Boston and Norfolk, Virginia, on Saturday and Sunday. The Green Wave coed crew will take to the water for the Aaron Szambecki Team Race while the Wave women will compete in the Duplin Women's Team Race.

The Aaron Szambecki Team Race will be hosted by Old Dominion on the Elizabeth River, west of the Old Dominion Sailing Center. The Green Wave will be one of nine teams in a field that includes Miami, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Georgetown, George Washington, Navy, Old Dominion, College of Charleston, and Dartmouth.

Racing for the Aaron Szambecki Team Race is scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m. CT on Saturday and 8:30 a.m. CT on Sunday.

In Boston, Harvard will host The Duplin Trophy Women's Team Race Saturday and Sunday on the waters of the Charles River. The Wave will race against a field that includes Boston College, Bowdoin, Brown, Harvard, MIT, Rhode Island, South Florida, Tufts, and Yale.

Competition at The Duplin Trophy Women's Team Race is set to start at 10 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday.
