Green Wave Hosts Saturday Doubleheader at White Sands
Apr 5, 2024 | Women's Beach Volleyball
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University beach volleyball (17-7) will be back in the Pelican State to host the Bayou Beach Duals at White Sands Volleyball Courts on Saturday. The Green Wave play a doubleheader against in-state foes New Orleans and McNeese State.
The Wave will open doubleheader against New Orleans at 10:30 a.m. before the Privateers square off against McNeese State. Tulane will wrap up the day with a dual against the Cowgirls at 2:30 p.m.
The Green Wave has never faced the McNeese State Cowgirls on the sand but holds a 15-1 record against New Orleans. Last season Tulane defeated the Privateers twice both coming via a 5-0 sweep. The only time the Wave has lost to New Orleans came at the Southern Miss Tournament in 2022 by a final score of 3-2.
Tulane is coming off an extended west coast trip during which it posted a 4-2 record. Most recently, the Wave took down CSUN and Cal State Bakersfield in a doubleheader in Northridge, California, on March 27.
Following Saturday's doubleheader, the Green Wave will travel to the Sunshine State to compete in the Beach Burrow Bash hosted by Florida Atlantic on April 13-14.
