NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane cross country program hit the road to compete at the Texas A&M Invitational on Friday in College Station, Texas.
The meet will be held on the Watts Cross Country Course with the men's 8k kicking off the morning at 8:00 a.m., followed by the women's 5k shortly after at 8:45 a.m.
The Green Wave will compete alongside 15 other teams, including Texas A&M, Baylor, Blinn College, Houston, Louisiana, North Texas, Oklahoma (W), Sam Houston, SMU (W), ST. Edward's, Texas A&M-Commerce, Tarleton State, UT-Arlington, and UT-Tyler.
15 men will represent the Olive and Blue, coming off their perfect 15-point sweep at the Battle of New Orleans. After his stellar performance two weeks ago, we can expect freshman Bernard Cheruiyot to be a top contender in the field.
On the women's side, stand-out freshmen Caroline Jeptanui and Blezzin Kimutai will look to lead the Wave women after their one-two finish at the Battle of New Orleans season opener. 11 total women will toe the line for Tulane.
