
Tulane Set to Host Allstate Sugar Bowl Fleet Races This Weekend

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane sailing will host the first of two home regattas this fall as the Allstate Sugar Bowl Open and Women's Fleet Races are set for this weekend on Lake Pontchartrain. The regatta will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22.

The Green Wave claimed first in the open fleet race last fall and second behind College of Charleston in the women's fleet race. Hamilton Barclay teamed with Claire Lewis and Kelly Holthus with Parker Kumler delivered the first-place finish in the open fleet race. The top team for the Wave in the women's fleet race was paced by Sammie Gardner with Andrea Riefkohl-Gonzalez and Mia Hanes with Ellie Spearman.

Along with Tulane this weekend's field will include College of Charleston, Florida State, Jacksonville, Rice, Stanford, Texas A&M, Cal-Berkely, and Wisconsin in the open fleet race. In the women's fleet race the Wave will be joined by College of Charleston, Jacksonville, Stanford, and South Florida. Â
