Green Wave Visits Oklahoma for Schooner Fall Classic

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane golf hits the road for the first time in the 2024-25 campaign as it journeys to Norman, Oklahoma, to compete in the Schooner Fall Classic hosted by Oklahoma. The tournament will be held at the Belmar Golf Club from Saturday to Monday, September 21-23.

The Schooner Fall Classic feature a loaded field that includes four teams from the American Athletic Conference. The Wave will be joined by fellow AAC members Florida Atlantic, North Texas, and Tulsa for the weekend tournament. Rounding out the remainder of the tournament field will be Auburn, Florida State, Iowa State, Houston, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts, TCU, Texas State, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin.

Tulane will enter the weekend with a minor shake up to its lineup as the Green Wave will be represented again by Francesca Pompa, Matilde Innocenti, Gabriella Gilrowski, and Cristina Albertazzi. Senior Ruhee Pandit will be the new addition to the lineup for the Schooner Fall Classic replacing Sophia Yi-Ju Chen.

Pompa and Gilrowski led Tulane to a fourth-place finish in the Green Wave Invitational to open the season on September 9-10. Both newcomers landed inside the top 15 in the tournament as Pompa ranked sixth after shooting under par in each of her final two rounds and Gilrowski finished 13th by closing the last round under par.

Play will open with 18 holes in the first round on Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m. Players will tee off for the second round at 8:30 a.m. Sunday and the third round on Monday at 9 a.m. Live scoring for all three rounds can be found HERE.
