Tulane Splits with Golden Eagles, Ragin’ Cajuns on Friday

HATTIESBURG, MS – Four members of Tulane's men's tennis team earned a pair of splits on Friday, the first day of competition at the Golden Eagle Fall Invitational at the Southern Miss Tennis Complex.
The Green Wave's Charlie Burdell and Vincent Vohl defeated USM's Niklas Jensen and Ollle Noltorp 6-3 at No. 2 doubles, while the Golden Eagles' Saheb Sodhi and Pasawee Reansuwong won 7-5 over Tulane's Asaf Friedler and Alec Gaudin.
In singles, the Olive and Blue picked up wins at the top two spots over Louisiana. Friedler knocked off Leonard Tramolay 6-3, 6-7 (3), (10-1) at No. 1 to go with a 6-7 (0), 6-3, (11-9) win at No. 2 by Gaudin over William Jade. The Ragin Cajuns received victories at No. 3 by Calin Postea 7-6 (3), 4-6, (11-9) over Burdell and at No. 4 by Darius Balan (6-4, 7-5) over Vohl.
Tulane's Friday doubles results against South Alabama were not available.
The action will get continue at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
