Wave Topples Host Golden Eagles in Sunday’s Singles Action

HATTIESBURG, MS – The Tulane men's tennis team won two of its three singles matches against Southern Miss on Sunday to highlight its final day of competition at the Golden Eagle Fall Invitational.
The Green Wave's Asaf Friedler picked up a 7-6 (6), 7-6 (5) victory over Saheb Sodi at No. 1 to go with a 6-3, 7-5 win by Charlie Burdell over Niklas Jensen at No. 3. USM's Olle Noltorp registered a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2 over the Wave's Vincent Vohl.
In doubles, Friedler and Alec Gaudin defeated Louisiana's Calin Postea and Darius Balan 7-5 at No. 1, while the Ragin' Cajuns' Leonard Tramalay and William Jade knocked off Vohl and Burdell 6-2 at No. 2.
Against South Alabama, Javier Montoy and Victor Frumholz took the No. 1 match over Friedler and Vohl 7-6 (5), while Harold van Raemdonck and Juan Accossatto defeated Gaudin and Burdell 6-2 at No. 2.
Tulane will be back in action on October 16 at the ITA Southern Regional Championships in Baton Rouge, LA.
