Volleyball Falls to DePaul in Second Match of SDSU Invite

Though the Green Wave went down in the first set, they kept the pressure up and pushed it into overtime, finishing the set 28-26. Tulane then bounced back in the second set to claim a winning tally of 25-23 and prevent a sweep.
The third and fourth sets were equally competitive, but ultimately landed in the favor of the Blue Demons. However, the Green Wave forced DePaul into a narrow win, as they put up close scores of 25-22 and 25-21.
Agata Beksha led the team with a hitting percentage of .381, tallying a total of nine kills. Jordan White followed with a hitting percentage of .375 and contributed eight total kills. Avery Burks stood out with total kills, having 16, followed by Sami Jacobs with 13.
Ava Derbes and Sabrina Skyers were guardians at the net, both securing three block assists, while Katherine Crosley totaled 30 assists throughout the game. Crosley also administered two consecutive aces.

For their final match of the tournament, the Green Wave will take on the San Diego State Aztecs on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 5:00 p.m. They will host their first home tournament, the Tulane Invitational, from Sept. 13-15.
