Indoor Track and Field Competes In First Meet of 2025

RESULTS
HOUSTON – Tulane Track and Field opened January competition today at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational hosted by the University of Houston. The Green Wave secured multiple top finishes and personal records over the course of the meet.
TRACK
Anna Schadel, Reese Ragland, and Jasper Newton swept the 800m podium, finishing first, second, and third with neighboring times of 2:17.93, 2:17.95, and 2:19.83.
Bella Carroll achieved personal bests in both the 60m and 200m with times of 7.96 and 25.69, respectively. Macy Turcotte finished eighth out of 24 in the mile with a time of 5:13.33.
FIELD
Shamiso Zihumo clinched both fourth place and a personal record in the triple jump, landing in the sand at 11.70m. She cleared her previous best (10.96m) by over two feet.
Presley Wolfe secured fifth in the pole vault, tying with third and fourth place with a height of 3.70m. Leah Kennedy placed tenth in the weight throw, hurling a distance of 15.72m
NEXT UP
Tulane Indoor Track will head to Tennessee for the Vanderbilt Invitational on Jan. 17-18. Before returning to Houston for the Fastrak Athletix Indoor Invitational on Jan. 25.
