Track and Field Shines in Houston, Ndip-Agbor Places First

HOUSTON – Though the Green Wave only had one day in Houston, they did not waste a second. Tulane Track and Field finished the FasTrak Athletic Collegiate Challenge with eight top-ten finishes and four personal records.
Egbe Ndip-Agbor had a stunning day, placing first out of 67 in the 200m with her showstopping time of 24.26. She also placed second in the 400m, ahead of 47 other runners with her time of 56.47.
Robyn Larkan had a phenomenal outing, placing second in the 60m hurdles and fifth in the 60m. Her times of 8.81 and 7.78 were both season bests for the sophomore. Brenda Ellis placed ninth in the 3000m, landing her top-ten spot at 10:45.18.
Leah Kennedy also scored a second-place finish in Houston, tossing a distance of 16.49m in the weight throw to reach the podium. Sofie Groninger stunned on both the track and field by placing fifth in the 60m (7.78s) and landing a PR in the long jump.
Nahema Dumonteil Cabanas had a remarkable 400m, placing ninth and marking a personal record of 59.95. Bella Carroll nabbed a personal record in the 60m with a time of 7.94 and placed 17th in the 200m. Alyssa Dismuke also tossed a personal record in the shot put.
On the men's side, Sam Cohen and Shane Auci finished back-to-back in eighth and ninth place in the 800m, putting up times of 1:56.90 and 1:57.54. Albert Tawil-Brown placed 18th in the mile with 4:40.67.
