NEW ORLEANS – Tulane volleyball will aim to bounce back in the third week of American Conference play as it hosts North Texas and South Florida inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse this weekend. The Green Wave will square off against the Mean Green on Friday, October 10, at 6:30 p.m. before facing the Bulls at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 12.

The Wave enters the weekend with a 9-6 record including a 1-3 mark in league play after dropping its first two conference road battled. Tulane suffered a 1-3 loss at Charlotte on Friday to open its first road conference weekend before closing the weekend with a 0-3 defeat at East Carolina on Sunday.

TULANE VS. NORTH TEXAS
This marks the 11th meeting all-time between Tulane and North Texas with the Green Wave trailing series 3-7. The Wave won the most recent matchup between the two programs 3-1 in New Orleans on October 27, 2024, but North Texas holds a 4-1 advantage in the last five meetings and a 2-1 lead all-time in Uptown.

TULANE VS. SOUTH FLORIDA
Sunday's matchup will be the 47th meeting between the Green Wave and the Bulls with Tulane trailing the all-time series 13-33. The Wave is just 4-12 against South Florida in New Orleans despite winning each of the last two matchups in Uptown in 2021 (3-1, November 26) and 2022 (3-1, October 7). The Bulls have won the last two meetings in the series marking the last victory for the Green Wave over the Bulls on November 25, 2022, in Tampa by a score of 3-0.

LAST WEEK
Tulane hit the road for the first time since entering conference play to face Charlotte and East Carolina. On Friday, October 3. the Wave dropped its match at the 49ers 1-3 as Avery Burks led the offensive attack as the only player with double figures in kills finishing with 13.

The Green Wave did not fare any better on Sunday, October 5, as it fell on the road to East Carolina 0-3. Once again Burks led the offensive attack for the Green Wave with 12 kills against the Pirates. Meanwhile, freshman Lily Wedman set a career-high in the match tallying 25 assists.

UP NEXT
The Wave will host Rice in Uptown for a Wednesday night showdown on October 15. The match between Tulane and the Owls is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. from Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
