Nov 18, 2025 | Women's Swimming and Diving
IRVING, TX – The Tulane swimming and diving team received recognition this week, earning two weekly awards from the American Conference, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Eliza Lennox Named American Freshman Swimmer of the Week
Freshman Eliza Lennox distinguished herself during a busy weekend from Nov. 7-8, leading the Green Wave in both meets against Rice and in a quad meet featuring LSU, Houston, and Rice. She scored the highest points for Tulane over the weekend and showcased impressive performances across multiple events.
Against Rice, Lennox led off the winning 200 free relay with a time of 23.51. She also claimed first place in the 50 free (23.28) and the 100 free (50.77), while posting a season-best in the 'A' medley relay's 100 fly (55.19). In the quad meet, she finished third overall in the 50 free with a time of 22.99—tying for fifth all-time at Tulane and ranking first in the conference for the event. Additionally, she swam the lead-off leg of the 400 free relay in 50.81 and posted a personal best of 54.97 in the 100 fly, ranking ninth all-time at Tulane. Lennox becomes the first Tulane swimmer to earn the Freshman Swimmer of the Week honor since Varvara Gkiouzepa Petropoulou on Jan. 28, 2024.
Libby Brewer Named American Freshman Diver of the Week
Freshman diver Libby Brewer also earned recognition for her outstanding performance during the same weekend. She contributed the most points for Tulane in both meets against Rice and in the quad meet.
On Nov. 7, Brewer won the 1-meter diving competition with a Zones Qualifying score of 278.70, ranking her fourth all-time at Tulane. She also finished as the runner-up in the 3-meter dive with a season-best score of 267.98, which ranks eighth all-time at the school. The following day, Brewer continued her strong showing, finishing as the team's top performer in the 3-meter and second in the 1-meter diving events.
These accolades mark the third time a Tulane swimmer or diver has earned an American Conference Weekly Award this season, and the 13th time over the past two seasons. Brewer previously received the Freshman Diver of the Week honor on Oct. 21.
