
Diaz Sets Colombian Women's Indoor 3000m Record

Illia Kunin and Janae Dean, who have been stunning this season, both set more Tulane indoor records this weekend.
Kunin, who already holds the top two Tulane times in the men's indoor 3000m, now holds the top men's indoor 5000m time of 13:37.08. He competed at the Boston Unviersity David Heremy Valentine Invitational and placed 25th of 212 participants, in a race where the first place finisher Grant Fisher set the indoor 5000m world record.
Kunin's performance also set the Ukrainian national record for a men's indoor 5000m.
Dean has once again broken the record for the 800m, which she set last year, and has raised it to 2:05.78.
More Tulane top rankings also appeared during the Chicago meet, with Paula Vaquera now ranking fifth all-time in the mile with her new time of 4:47.03.
The Green Wave also set many personal bests in Chicago. Robyn Larkan and Sofie Groninger both set personal bests in the 60m hurdles, with times of 8.57 and 9.04, respectievly. Groninger also set a best in the long jump, with 5.83m and placed fourth. Jada Johnson also set her personal best in the long jump. placing seventh with 5.63.
Presley Wolfe set two new personal bests: a leap of 12.01m in the triple jump and 3.80m in the pole vault.
Next, the Wave will head to LSU Twilight and the Boston University DMR on February 21.
