Tulane Takes Out #44 UTSA

TAMPA, FL – The previously unbeaten 44th-ranked UTSA Roadrunners fell victim to the Tulane women's tennis team by the score of 4-2 Saturday afternoon at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
The Green Wave improved to 5-3 overall, while UTSA dropped to 13-1.
The Olive and Blue's Campbell Ricci and Leigh Van Zyl got a win at No. 1 doubles, while Summer Chandler and Micah Pierce did the same at No. 2.
Tulane secured singles wins at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 to get the four points necessary for the victory. The 6-4, 7-6 (3) victory by Ricci at No. 1 ended up being the clincher.
Ricci and Chandler are now a combined 10-4 at the top two singles positions this spring. Ricci and Van Zyl are also undefeated (4-0) at the top doubles spot.
The Green Wave is back in action tomorrow when it plays South Florida on its home court at 11 a.m. The Bulls (1-9) dropped a 4-2 decision to UTSA on Friday.
