Stolakis Ranked Eighth After Day Two of Bulldog Classic

FORT WORTH – Tulane Bowling wrapped up another day at the Bulldog Classic, hosted by Louisiana Tech, finishing with a 2-3 record across five matches. The Green Wave secured victories over Jackson State and Prairie View, and Mia Stolakis ended the day ranked in the top ten.
The Green Wave ended the day placed fourth with a total pinfall of 8,971 and an average of 179.4 pins per game. Stolakis' total pinfall of 943 and average count of 188.60 put her as eighth overall in the tournament. Juanelyz Solla and Nancy Kohut came in 14 and 22.Â
Tulane opened the day against Sam Houston, who came out on top 859-817. Paige Matiasek led the way with 179 pins, followed by Solla with 173. Emma Fetterman rolled 154, Kohut 159, and Stolakis 152.
The Green Wave bounced back with a 900-781 victory over Jackson State. Solla and Stolakis had impressive performances, scoring 203 and 209, respectively. Kohut followed with a 190, while Emma Figert added a 157, and Matiasek rounded out the win with 141.
Tulane fell 845-996 to Oklahoma Christian during the third match. Figert led the Green Wave with a 174, while Solla was close behind with a 171. Stolakis and Kohut each posted a 170, and Fetterman bowled a 160.
Louisiana Tech stopped the Wave 1067-841. Stolakis led with a 189, while Kohut posted a 179. Fetterman followed with a 168, Solla recorded a 157, and Figert put up a 151.
The Green Wave ended the day well with a 949-825 win over Prairie View. Stolakis had the best score of the day with a 223, while Solla rolled a 202. Matiasek followed with a 197, Fetterman added a 178, and Kohut sealed the victory with a 149.
Tomorrow, the Wave has a shot to place on the podium and will take on Oklahoma Christian to begin the day.Â
