Tulane Wins Crosstown Showdown over UNO 5-2 on Monday

NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Tulane women's tennis team defeated crosstown foe the UNO Privateers by the score of 5-2 Monday afternoon at the City Park Tennis Facility.
The Green Wave improved to 7-5 overall, while UNO drops to 3-5 on the season. The Olive and Blue secured the doubles point before clinching the match in singles play.
Tulane secured singles wins at Nos. 1 (Chandler), 2 (Van Zyl), 5 (Fantini) and 6 (Theis) to dominate the day. Fantini's 6-4, 6-0 victory on court 5 clinched the match before Theis added on point 5 with a 6-4, 6-4 victory.
The Green Wave is back in action again two more times this week at home; Thursday when it plays #63 Princeton at 2:00pm and Sunday versus #67 Wichita State at 12pm. Both matches will be played at the City Park Tennis Facility. Live stats will be available for both matchups later this week.
