Tulane Finishes Ninth at Florida State Match Up

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Tulane golf moved up two spots on the leaderboard by shooting 298 (+10) on Sunday to finish ninth out of 13 teams in the Florida State Match Up. The Green Wave finished the tournament with a 54-hole team score of 919 (+55).
Leading the way for the Wave over the weekend was Gabriella Gilrowski who finished the tournament tied for 19th overall carding a three-round total of 225 (+9 – 74, 74, 77). She ended the weekend second for Tulane with eight birdies while also recording an eagle in the second round.
Next in the standings for the Green Wave was Francesca Pompa who carded a three-day score of 231 (+15 – 73, 82, 76) to land tied for 37th. Pompa led Tulane in pars in the tournament with 32 and matched Gilrowski with one eagle coming in her third and final round.
Cristina Albertazzi saved her best round for Sunday as she scored a 72 (E) in the third round to close the tournament tied for 51st with a total tally of 235 (+19 – 78, 85, 72). The freshman led Tulane and tied for second on the weekend with 12 total birdies.
The next player on the leaderboard for the Wave was senior Ruhee Pandit who tied for 56th after carding a tournament total of 237 (+21 – 85, 79, 73). Fellow senior Matilde Innocenti closed the weekend in 67th overall posting a three-round score of 243 (+27 – 79, 82, 82).
Freshman Lynne Zhang competed as an individual for the Green Wave landing 71st in the field with a final tally of 253 (+37 – 85, 87, 81).
Up next, Tulane will compete in the Ironwood Invitational hosted by East Carolina in Greenville, North Carolina, March 31-Apil 1.
