Tulane Loses on the Road to North Texas

DENTON, Texas – In its second match of the weekend in the Lone Star State Tulane women's tennis dropped the road matchup against North Texas 4-1 i at the Waranch Tennis Complex on Sunday.

With the loss, the Wave dropped to 9-8 overall including 1-5 against American Athletic Conference opponents this season. Meanwhile, the Mean Green improved to 8-9 on the season.

It was a slow start for the Green Wave as North Texas controlled doubles competition. Tulane lost on both courts one and two in doubles to fall behind early against the Mean Green.
Momentum stayed in the corner of North Texas as singles play started. The Wave quickly fell behind 3-0 as the Mean Green picked up wins on courts two and three in straight sets. Campbell Ricci put Tulane on the board with her eighth singles victory on court one. Unfortunately, North Texas answered with a win on court six to clinch the match.
Up next, the Green Wave will return home to host Memphis and Louisiana Tech on Friday and Sunday, March 28 and 30, at City Park Tennis Center.
