Green Wave Ready for Two Road Matches this Weekend

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane's men's tennis team is back on the road this weekend for two matches against ranked opponents on Friday and Sunday. The Green will begin the weekend in Houston against No. 71 Rice at 5 p.m. Friday before traveling to Oklahoma to take on No. 59 Tulsa on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
The first match of the weekend between the Wave and the Owls will be played at George R. Brown Tennis Center in Houston on Friday. This will mark the 20th meeting between Tulane and Rice with the Green Wave holding a 10-9 advantage. The last time the Wave faced the Owls in Houston Tulane came away with the 4-3 victory on February 18, 2023.
On Sunday, Tulane will make its way up to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to face the Golden Hurricane at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The matchup will mark the 22nd time the Wave and Tulsa have squared off on the court. The Green Wave holds a 13-8 advantage over the Golden Hurricane including a 6-3 record on the road. Tulsa won the most recent meeting on March 1, 2024, 4-3, but Tulane picked up the win on its last trip to Tulsa 4-2 on March 24, 2023.
