
Wave Back in Action for Road Regattas

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sailing travels to the northeast this weekend to compete in a pair of road regattas on Saturday and Sunday, March 29-30. The Green Wave coed crew will be on the water for the Marchiando Trophy Team Race in Cambridge, Massachusetts, while the Wave women's squad will race in the Dellenbaugh Women's Team Race Trophy in Providence, Rhode Island.

Tulane will compete specifically in the Marchiando Trophy – Red Regattaa hosted by MIT at the Wood Sailing Pavilion on the Charles River. The regatta will feature eight teams competing on the water including the Green Wave. The other teams in the field will be Rhode Island, MIT, Tufts, Roger Williams, Stanford, Bowdoin, and Boston College.

The starters representing the Wave in Massachusetts will be skippers Hamilton Barclay, Christian Ebbin, and Kelly Holthus with crews CJ Ricci, Sabrina Anderson, and Taylor Bartell. Also available as substitutions for Tulane will be Zander King, Parker Kumler, Alex Makoid, and Elizabeth Struve. Racing is scheduled to start at 9:50 a.m. CT on Saturday and 8:45 a.m. on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Dellenbaugh Women's Team Race Trophy will be hosted by Brown at the Edgewood Yacht Club on the Providence River. The Green Wave will be one of 10 teams competing in the regatta along with crews from College of Charleston, Harvard, Cornell, MIT, Brown, Dartmouth, Stanford, Yale, and Tufts.

Racing on the water as the starters for the Wave will be skippers Gabriella Vassel, Ava Anderson, and Sammie Gardner with crews Essie Clifton, Ella May Corckran, aand Hope Breslin. Tulane will also have substitution available with Cate Anderson, Caitlin Briggs, Oakley Cunningham, and Lucy Spearman.
